Cataracts are a progressive clouding of the internal lens of the eye. Over time they may cause blindness. As cataracts progress your colors dull and your vision becomes blurry.
Many of the people in the United States over the age of 65 have some degree of cataract. Vision becomes cloudy, blurry or filmy, making it difficult to do daily tasks. Sometimes changes in your prescription may be enough to help you to continue; if not, then surgery may be an option.
At Choice Eye Care we educate the patient on the lens options and what to expect from the surgery. Then we assist you in setting up the appointment with the surgeon after which you will return to us for your post op care. Yearly exams can detect and monitor the onset of cataracts. Cataracts are a manageable part of eye care in many cases. Call our office today to set up an appointment 630-969-2020.
